In order to move from pending to active status as a full-member of Hands On Miami, you must complete an orientation.
In-Person Orientations
Every month, Hands On Miami offers 4-5 one-hour New Volunteer Orientations that are held at various locations throughout Miami-Dade County. Our orientations are presented in both English and Spanish, during the week and on weekends. There is NO fee to attend an orientation.

If you are under 18, download and complete the YVC Membership Appliation. Have it signed by a parent or legal guardian and bring it with you to the orientation. You will need this application in order to complete orientation.
On-Line Orientation
We also offer a 15-minute, express online orientation for those who want to get started right away! To take the online orientation all you’ll need is:
- About 15 minutes of your time to complete the orientation (it must be completed in one session)
- Pen and paper to take notes
- If you are under 18, download and complete the YVC Membership Application. Have it signed by a parent or legal guardian and send it via fax to: 305-646-7205 or mail to:

Even after completing the online orientation, you will not be able to sign up for projects until we receive this waiver and ‘unlock’ your account. We will send you an email when your account is unlocked and active. (This will generally happen within 24 hours).
